1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Tiny Mech Arena collects, uses, and processes data when you use the application on Meta Quest devices.

Tiny Mech Arena is an augmented reality game that uses spatial room data, Meta platform features, multiplayer networking through Photon Fusion, and Shared Spatial Anchors to provide an immersive mixed reality gameplay experience.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and only process data to the extent necessary to provide the functionality of the game.

2. Data We Collect

Depending on the features used, Tiny Mech Arena may process the following types of data:

2.1 Meta User Profile Data

Tiny Mech Arena uses Meta platform features to access basic user profile information. This may include:

  • Meta user ID
  • Meta username
  • Meta profile picture

This data is used to identify players in multiplayer sessions and to display player information within the game experience.

Tiny Mech Arena does not store this profile data on its own servers. The data is accessed through Meta platform services when required for gameplay functionality.

2.2 Room and Spatial Data

Tiny Mech Arena uses spatial data from the Meta Quest device to adapt the game to the player's physical environment. This may include:

  • Room layout
  • Wall positions
  • Floor and ceiling information
  • Detected surfaces
  • Spatial anchors
  • Anchor IDs

This data is used to place virtual objects correctly in the player's real-world environment and to support mixed reality gameplay.

Room and spatial data is processed for gameplay purposes. Where possible, this data remains on the user's device or is handled through Meta platform features.

2.3 Shared Spatial Anchors

Tiny Mech Arena uses Meta Shared Spatial Anchors to allow multiple players to see and interact with virtual objects in the same physical space.

For this feature, anchor IDs and related spatial information may be processed through Meta platform services.

This data is used only to synchronize virtual object placement between players during gameplay. Tiny Mech Arena does not use this data for advertising, tracking, or user profiling.

2.4 Multiplayer and Network Data

Tiny Mech Arena uses Photon Fusion, provided by Photon / Exit Games, to enable online multiplayer functionality. When using multiplayer features, the following data may be processed:

  • Player connection data
  • User IDs or player identifiers
  • IP address
  • Lobby and session information
  • Real-time gameplay state

This data is required to create multiplayer sessions, connect players, synchronize gameplay, and maintain real-time interactions.

Photon processes this data as a third-party service provider. Multiplayer data is processed only as necessary for online gameplay functionality.

2.5 Technical and Diagnostic Data

Tiny Mech Arena may process technical data provided by the Meta platform or the device to ensure that the app functions correctly. This may include:

  • Device type
  • App version

This data is used to improve stability, fix bugs, and maintain the quality of the application.

3. How We Use Data

Tiny Mech Arena uses data only for the following purposes:

  • To provide the core gameplay experience

  • To enable multiplayer gameplay
  • To identify players in multiplayer sessions

4.1 Meta Platform Services

Meta Platform Services may be used for:

Data processed by Meta is handled according to Meta's own privacy policies and platform terms.

4.2 Photon Fusion

Photon Fusion is used to provide multiplayer networking. Photon may process connection data, IP addresses, user or player identifiers, lobby data, and gameplay synchronization data to enable real-time multiplayer functionality.

5. Data Sharing

Tiny Mech Arena does not sell, rent, or trade personal data.

Data may be shared or processed only where necessary for the functionality of the game, including:

  • Meta Platform Services for user profiles and Shared Spatial Anchors
  • Photon Fusion for multiplayer networking

No personal data is shared with advertisers or marketing networks.

6. Data Storage and Retention

Tiny Mech Arena does not store personal user profile data on its own servers.

Spatial data and local game data may be stored on the user's device where necessary for gameplay functionality.

Multiplayer session data is processed through Photon Fusion for the duration required to provide multiplayer functionality.

Data managed by Meta Platform Services is retained and deleted according to Meta's own policies and user account settings.

Locally stored app data can usually be deleted by uninstalling the app or clearing the app data on the device.

7. Data Deletion Requests

Users may request information about or deletion of any personal data that we may hold by contacting us.

Since Tiny Mech Arena does not currently store personal user profile data on its own servers, most data is managed either locally on the user's device, by Meta Platform Services, or by Photon Fusion.

For deletion of local data, users can uninstall the app or clear app data on their device. For data processed by Meta, users should use their Meta account privacy settings.

8. Children's Privacy

Tiny Mech Arena is not intended to knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent.

If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without the required consent, we will take appropriate steps to delete such data.

Tiny Mech Arena is a mixed reality game that may involve movement within the player's physical environment.
